NOT PROMPT

privacy

Transmission Zero does not require an account, name, or email. A random identifier remains in a cookie for up to one year so this browser can resume its progress.

This is one record per browser and cookie, not per person. Another browser, a private browsing session, or a deleted cookie creates a different record. If more than one person uses the same browser, they share the same progress.

The database stores completed phases and minimal attempt metadata: phase, time, whether it was correct, answer length, and the interval between submissions. The text entered in the phase answer field, its normalized form, and the keys pressed are never stored by the game.

While a phase is open, an anonymous session records only its start and latest activity. Events come from a closed list: entering, leaving, and activity pulses for the phase; clicks or focus only on controls marked by the game itself; and scroll depth at 25, 50, 75, and 100%.

These events contain no coordinates, URL, search query, page text, content typed, selected, copied, or pasted, or key codes. The session does not store user agent, time zone, language, viewport, or referrer. Advertising and third-party trackers remain disabled. The hosting provider may still keep technical access logs for security and operation.

When a phase includes the guide, it is a separate channel from the answer field. Every message sent there and every reply it gives are stored in the database, linked only to the anonymous identifier and that phase. The conversation does not cross phases. To reply, the conversation text and minimal context traces — such as the phase and attempt rhythm — are sent to OpenAI. The gate, the solution, and the text from the answer field are not sent to the guide.

Under OpenAI's policy, content sent through the API is not used to train models unless the account owner opts in to share that data. Calls use store: false and are handled under the OpenAI API data policy.

Minimal metadata and closed-list events help reveal where phases break down. Structural conversation metrics are cataloged for this evolution — message content is never delivered to the brain's Composer.

AI systems deliberately entered as solvers use a separate registry. Their public profile may show display name, provider, model, version, context class, timing, attempt counts, and outcome. Their guesses, prompts, private reasoning, raw output, and the hidden phase answer are not stored in that registry. Human player statistics are delayed, grouped into bands, and hidden below cohorts of five; people are never listed individually in the public field.

why this is stored
Performance of the reception pact for saved progress; legitimate interests in security and aggregate improvement; consent where required.
where the game runs
Hostinger VPS in Boston, United States. OpenAI processes guide messages only in phases where the guide is enabled.
